About English Expo
English Expo of New Mexico is a non-profit educational organization which sponsors English Language Arts activities in the State of New Mexico and offers professional development for educators. Incorporated as an independent non-profit organization in 2018, English Expo began in 1989 when a group of educators brought to life the vision of creating an academic competition highlighting skills in the English Language Arts.

Each year hundreds of students who attend middle and high schools from around the state attend the annual English Expo competition held in Albuquerque, NM. Each student chooses two contests to compete in from the twenty-four contests in writing, skills, speaking, and artistic expression.
We believe all students deserve the opportunity to express their creativity and challenge their capabilities in a positive academic environment.

Our Purpose
English Expo of New Mexico seeks to encourage the study of English language usage, celebrate student achievement in English, provide activities in which students can compete and participate in areas of English language usage, and provide professional development avenues for teachers on English language concepts.
